Noon Tunes To
Launch New Summer Season At Boise State June 2
|
Is your summer too quiet? Summer Noon Tunes 2004
kicks off Wednesday, June 2, on the Boise State University
Student Union Patio with guitarist Granian. Bring your lunch,
bring a friend and enjoy summer Noon Tunes every Wednesday
afternoon from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Noon Tunes is free and open to
the public. For a full schedule of performers, visit
entertainment.boisestate.edu
Armed with his guitar, Granian, considered by many to be Spin
Magazines best unsigned artist, creates thoughtful tunes and
infectious melodies with an aggressive twist that has become his
signature style. Originally from New Jersey, Granian has
recorded three albums, including 2003s Live Sessions.
I tend to hit the guitar harder than most. I do everything I
can to allow emotion to come through in the performance and the
song, Granian said. When playing solo, you have to keep
yourself together since you are conveying everything on your
own. Groove, timing, performance and professionalism
everything is in your hands. Playing live allows me to make a
connection with the audience, to take their energy and feed it
into my performance.
