'Voices and Visions' Art Exhibit At Boise State Through July 30

�Voices and Visions,� a juried art exhibit featuring the work of Idaho artists, is on display at the Boise State University Student Union Gallery through July 30. An opening reception will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday, June 4, at the gallery. Admission is free and free parking is available in the Student Union visitor lot the evening of the reception. Sponsored by Boise State Student Union and Activities, the exhibit was juried by Boise artist Surel Mitchell, past winner of the Idaho Governor�s Art Award for Excellence in the Visual Arts. Three artists were chosen to receive awards from the more than 120 entries: First place, Dennis DeFoggi of Boise, �Leaving Earth, Alive,� $200; second place, Glenda Connolly of Nampa, �Space,� $75; and third place, Candace Nicol of Boise, �Signified/Significant Other 2,� $50. The gallery is open 7 a.m.-11 p.m. daily.
