Easily Amused and Georgette Dashiell At Boise State's Noon Tunes

Easily Amused Georgette Dashiell   Boise State University’s free summer lunchtime concert series, Noon Tunes, continues with Easily Amused June 23 and Georgette Dashiell June 30 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Student Union patio. Renée Lamoureux and Keith Macpherson are Easily Amused. This Canadian folk rock duo, has been gradually inching toward mainstream recognition since releasing “Novice,” a debut independent CD, in 2001. “Novice” quickly sold more than 1,500 copies and was voted top CD by several Canadian radio stations. Vocalist Dashiell has entertained audiences throughout the Pacific Northwest, California, Texas, Utah and Idaho. The Boise Weekly named her CD “Daffodils In Winter” one of Boise’s most notable local CDs for 1999. Dashiell’s live performances are a mixture of songs and stories ranging from lighthearted fare to the depths of depression. Three of her songs have been chosen to be part of the sound track for the independent movie “Circle of Five,” due to be released this summer.
