Kyler England and
Rob Gonzalez Wrap Up Boise State's July Noon Tunes
|
Boise
State University’s free summer lunchtime concert series, Noon
Tunes, continues with Kyler England July 21 and Rob Gonzalez
July 28 from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on the Student Union patio.
Indie singer-songwriter Kyler England soulfully melds
together elements of folk, rock and pop. Writing mostly about
life and love, she took first place in the 2003 Mid-Atlantic
Songwriting Contest for “Something So Beautiful.” England’s
singing and songwriting have been compared to Melissa Etheridge,
Sarah McLachlan and Sheryl Crow.
Rob Gonzalez is a gifted pianist whose music, in his own
words, is a blend of acoustic rock with blues, jazz and folk
influences. His style has been compared to that of Norah Jones,
Lyle Lovett and Marc Cohn. Songwriting influences include early
’70s performances by such artists as Paul Simon, James Taylor
and the Beatles. His self-released album titled “Somehow”
debuted in 2002.
Noon Tunes is presented by Boise State Student Activities. For
more information, call 426-1223.
