Boise State University Teacher Education Association Plans Celebration Sept. 1

A �Celebration of Education� featuring speeches by state and local education leaders, live music, refreshments and a raffle will be held from 6- 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 1, on the Student Union Building patio at Boise State University. The gala event, sponsored by the Boise State Teacher Education Association, is free and the public is invited.  Speakers include Kathy Phelan, president of the Idaho Education Association, and Marilyn Howard, State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Doug Cameron will provide live music and a raffle will be held featuring movie tickets, local restaurant meals, hotel stays and many other great prizes. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Boise State Teacher Education Association.
