WASHINGTON, D.C. — The C-SPAN School Bus continues its trek
around the country with a visit to Boise on Monday, Sept.
13. During this visit, the C-SPAN School Bus will be
available for tours and presentations, and will offer
students an inside look at the 2004 Presidential campaign.
From 8:30-11 a.m., the C-SPAN School Bus will be parked in
Bronco Circle on the campus of Boise State University.
During this visit, the C-SPAN staff will provide tours and
demonstrations of the bus and encourage those visiting the
“bright yellow bus” to consider the resources the network
provides on the political process, particularly during this
crucial election year.
C-SPAN representatives will also lecture on the current
campaign and the media’s impact on the political process to
Boise State political science professor Scott Yenor’s
“Contemporary Political Ideologies” class from 9:40-10:30
a.m. in Multi-Purpose Building Room 211. Photographs of the
Boise State visit will be shown on the “Washington Journal”
morning program on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
The C-SPAN School Bus is a 45-foot traveling TV production
studio and media demonstration center, specially outfitted
with television equipment, video monitors and computers.
Half of the bus serves as a mobile classroom while the other
half functions as a working production studio and interview
set.
