COMMUNITY INVITED TO BOISE STATE HOMECOMING FESTIVITIES
"ENVISIONING MORE IN 2004"

Boise State University is "Envisioning More in 2004" as it sets its
sights on a week of Homecoming activities designed to bring the campus
and community together. As in past years, the week culminates in the
Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 2, this year against Southern
Methodist University.

Several notable changes highlight this year's celebration, including
the change of the parade from Friday to Saturday afternoon, thus
allowing spectators to come early for the parade and stay for tailgate
parties and the game. Instead of winding through downtown, the parade
will begin on Myrtle Street at Broadway Avenue, travel south on Broadway
and turn west on University Drive, ending at the Student Union.

Another change is the addition of an educational component, a Saturday
morning symposium titled "Growth in a Fragile Environment: Bridging the
Divide Over Western Environmental Conflicts," featuring Keith Allred,
the Frank Church Distinguished Professor of Public Policy for
2004-2005.

Finally, visitors to the university can expect to see an explosion of
Bronco Spirit as the friendly competition between departments to
decorate offices is stepped up, beginning Monday, Sept. 27, and students
are encouraged to show their school colors throughout the week.

Following is a schedule of events. For more information, visit
