SEPT. 24-OCT. 13
(Photo Op) �Dog Head Stew.� Liberal Arts Building Gallery. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday, Noon-5 p.m. Saturday. Presenting personal and political expression honoring or criticizing past and present representations of Native American culture, the �Dog Head Stew� print portfolio, comprised of work by 24 artists, celebrates Native American traditions and cultural persistence.  The title is based on a story in which Indians throwing a feast pretend to live up to the �savage� stereotype in order to rid themselves of unwanted white dinner guests. Opening reception from 7:45-9:30 p.m. on Sept. 24. Call 426-3994.

SEPT. 24-NOV. 3
(Photo Op) Tibetan Paintings-Kumar Lama exhibit. Original work by Kumar Lama will be on display at the Sacred Art of Tibet exhibition in the Boise State University Student Union Gallery. The exhibit will be available for viewing from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. daily. An opening reception will be held at 5:30 p.m., Sept. 24, followed by a lecture at 7 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Kumar Lama is a master artist of classical Tibetan scroll painting, or Thangka, who has exhibited work in Nepal, Europe and the U.S. For more information, call 426-4636.

MONDAY, SEPT. 27
�Monster Garage with Jesse James.�  The Cultural Center presents the Discovery Channel�s �Monster Garage with Jesse James,� featuring Boise State Welding Instructor Juan Martinez, at 6-8 p.m., in the Student Union Farnsworth Room.  Admission is free, RSVP to 426-5950.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 29
�China Through the Eyes of Faith,� Renaissance Institute Seminar Series with Boise State history professor, Shelton Woods. The Flicks, 646 Fulton St. 12:30-2:30 p.m. Presented by the Division of Extended Studies. $40 plus membership for four-part series. Call 426-1709.

Study Abroad Fair. Check out all the academic opportunities available to Boise State students, faculty and staff throughout the world. Students can talk with faculty, program

�The Decline of Values in America and What We Can Do About It.� 11 a.m., at The Flicks, 646 Fulton St. What do we mean by the term �values,� and how and why are they changing? Philosopher Andrew Schoedinger lectures on shifting culture and values in contemporary American society and discusses related causes, impacts and solutions.
