Boise State Instructional and Performance Technology Program Hosts Open House Oct. 11

Boise State Universityıs Department of Instructional and Performance
Technology (IPT) master of science program is hosting an open house from 5-7
p.m. on Monday, Oct. 11, on campus in the Bishop Barnwell Room in the
Student Union. Free parking is available in the parking lot behind the
Student Union. Let the parking attendant know that you are attending the IPT
open house.

Anyone interested in learning about the IPT master of science program, as
well as current students, graduates, faculty and staff, is invited to
attend. The IPT program is intended to prepare students for careers in the
areas of instructional design, performance improvement, training,
e-learning, multimedia development, organizational development, and human
performance consulting. A unique aspect of the IPT program is that students
and working professionals can attend classes entirely online, on campus, or
a combination of both.

The Oct. 11 open house will provide opportunities to:

bullet Meet Dr. Sona Andrews, the universityıs new Provost and Vice President
for Academic Affairs, and the IPT faculty.
bullet Network with graduates of the IPT program who are employed in various
industries.  A list of the graduates who will be attending will be posted
under ³Whatıs New² on the IPT website: http://ipt.boisestate.edu/.
bullet Attend a half-hour slide show presentation in the Farnsworth Room by
graduate adjunct professor Dr. Penelope Schwiebert and IPT students who
traveled to China this summer. Find out what other academic exchange
opportunities may be forthcoming.
bullet Enjoy refreshments and hors dıoeuvres.
