Tibetan Paintings-Kumar Lama exhibit. Original work by Kumar Lama will be on display at the Sacred Art of Tibet exhibition in the Boise State University Student Union Gallery. The exhibit will be available for viewing from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. daily. Call 426-4636.

OCT. 4-22
T-shirt Sale to benefit Christian charity. Student Union. The InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is raising money for the International Justice Mission by selling t-shirts in the Student Union. The goal is to raise $2,000 as part of �Seek Justice, Rescue the Oppressed.� For more information on the International Justice Mission, visit www.ijm.org.

SUNDAY, OCT. 10
Del Parkinson, piano. Faculty Artist Series. Morrison Center Recital Hall. 4 p.m. Parkinson will perform an all-Rachmaninoff recital.  The program will feature a set of variations, four preludes, three etudes and three transcriptions, including the famous �Flight of the Bumblebee.� Parkinson is on sabbatical leave from BSU this semester to research, perform, and record the piano music of Rachmaninoff. $5 general, $3 for seniors and free for students of all ages and Boise State faculty and staff. Poetry Slam. 6th Annual Gem State Collegiate Lacrosse Invitational.  Boise State Men�s Lacrosse team is hosting the 6th annual Gem State Collegiate Lacrosse Invitational Friday-Sunday on the recreation field behind the Student Union.  Participants include University of Idaho, Albertson College of Idaho, University of Nevada at Reno, University of Utah, University of Montana, Montana State University, Utah Valley State College, Whitman College, Western Washington University and Central Washington University. Composer and pianist No�l Lee has toured six continents and won many awards, including the Charles Oulmont Prize, and 13 of his 185 recordings have received the Grand Prix du Disque. (Photo op) Galing Galing Filipino dinner, song and dance festival. Galing Galing, meaning �very good� in Filipino, is a casual celebration of Filipino culture. Student Union Jordan Ballroom. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and a buffet style dinner is at 6 p.m. Entertainment begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 through Select-a-Seat and will not be sold at the door. The first 50 children younger than five years old will receive free tickets. Parking is free in the Student Union visitor lot.

Alvin Greenberg, fiction reading. The MFA Program in Creative Writing presents a reading by Alvin Greenberg, author of How the Dead Live, at 7:30 p.m., in the Student Union Farnsworth Room. Free. Call 426-2669.

SATURDAY, OCT. 16
Jason Vieaux, guitar, and Gary Schocker, flute, play classical, Latin, romantic, new and old works for guitar and flute.
