Boise State University music professor Del Parkinson and theatre arts chair Richard Klautsch will lead an educational music and theater study tour of London May 22-29, 2005. Parkinson and Klautsch have led more than a dozen previous study tours to New York City and London. The trip is organized through Boise State’s Division of Extended Studies.

Participants will attend world-class performances of carefully selected music and theater productions, enriched by informal discussions tailored to accommodate all levels of interest.

Tour members will also have the opportunity to visit several cultural sites, including Big Ben, Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and the Tower of London. There will also be an opportunity to travel by coach to Windsor Castle, Hampton Court Palace, Warwick Castle and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Cost is $2,800, which includes round-trip airfare from Boise, six nights of four-star hotel accommodations, tickets to theater and music performances, admission charges, museum guides, a subway pass, additional sightseeing and activities and selected meals.

The first deposit of $800 is due by Nov. 1, $1,000 is due by Dec. 15 and the final payment is due Jan. 14. Space is limited and the tour may fill before Nov. 1. For more information or for a complete itinerary, contact the Division of Extended Studies at (208) 426-3293 or 1-800-824-7017, ext. 5.
