Carol Snow, author of The Seventy Prepositions, will present a reading of her poetry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, at the Log Cabin Literary Center, 801 S. Capitol Blvd. The reading is presented by the Boise State English Department’s Master of Fine Arts writing program, and is free and open to the public.

Snow is a recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and currently resides in San Francisco. Her first book, Artist and Model, received the Joseph Henry Jackson Award in Literature while it was still a manuscript in progress. The completed manuscript was selected for the National Poetry Series and received the Book Award from the Poetry Center at San Francisco State University in 1990. Snow is the financial director of Blue Bear School of American Music, a non-profit school specializing in rock, pop, jazz and blues, in which she enrolled as a songwriter in 1971.

Upcoming readings for the Creative Writing MFA Reading Series include Martin Corless-Smith and Cathy Wagner, Nov. 12, and Doug Unger, Nov. 19.
