The Selland College of Applied Technology at Boise State
University will honor seven outstanding students and induct
them as members of the National Technical Honor Society
during a ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, in the Student
Union Bishop Barnwell Room.
Boise State formed a chapter of the national honor society
this year to honor its highest achieving students.
We are very proud of these students, said Larry Barnhardt,
dean of the Selland College of Applied Technology. They have
demonstrated their ability to excel in our high skills
training programs. We take great pride in their commitment
and dedication to our college and their program of study.
The following students were nominated by their instructors
and will be inducted: Kimberly Albracht, electronics
technology; Mina Ally, accounting technology; Lisa Bittick,
drafting technology; Ronald Clevland, recreation and small
engine repair; Travis Hust, electronic technology; Toby
Vernor, computer service technology; Garth Whiteside,
computer service technology; and
Ron Zimmerman, computer service technology.
The National Technical Honor Society was founded in 1984 to
honor student achievement and provide business and industry
with a continuous stream of talented, highly skilled future
employees. The society serves more than 1,600 member schools
and colleges and has 30,000 members each year. For more
