Boise State Career Training Programs Accepting Students

Registration is open for a number of career training programs offered by the Selland College of Applied Technology at Boise State University. Programs are filled on a first come, first served basis.

The following training programs can still accommodate students: legal administrative assistant, accounting assistant, administrative assistant, receptionist, electronics technician, broadcast technician, semiconductor manufacturing technician, marketing/management, professional truck driving and diesel repair technician.

Programs are offered during the day and can be completed in 4-24 months.

Students are encouraged to register early. The Selland Colleges offers free personalized registration services, career counseling and basic skill classes for those who need them. A high school diploma is recommended, but not required for admission. Evening hours are available by appointment.

Selland College graduates are successfully placed in jobs, said Selland College dean Larry Barnhart, partly because 300 local employers help create the college s programs, serve as advisory committee members and help shape the curriculum to ensure students have the skills employers desire.

Classes begin Jan. 10, 2005. For more information, visit http://selland.boisestate.edu

or call the Student Services office at
426-1431.
