Registration is open for a number of career training
programs offered by the Selland College of Applied
Technology at Boise State University. Programs are filled on
a first come, first served basis.
The following training programs can still accommodate
students: legal administrative assistant, accounting
assistant, administrative assistant, receptionist,
electronics technician, broadcast technician, semiconductor
manufacturing technician, marketing/management, professional
truck driving and diesel repair technician.
Programs are offered during the day and can be completed in
4-24 months.
Students are encouraged to register early. The Selland
Colleges offers free personalized registration services,
career counseling and basic skill classes for those who need
them. A high school diploma is recommended, but not required
for admission. Evening hours are available by appointment.
Selland College graduates are successfully placed in jobs,
said Selland College dean Larry Barnhart, partly because 300
local employers help create the college s programs, serve as
advisory committee members and help shape the curriculum to
ensure students have the skills employers desire.
