Boise State's Phi Kappa Phi Announces Writing Contest

The Boise State University Chapter of Phi Kappa Phi has announced the annual Wallace G. Kay-Phi Kappa Phi student writing contest. The award is named after Wallace G. Kay, who was a professor of English and associate director of the Honors Program until his death in September 1996. Phi Kappa Phi is an interdisciplinary honor society that promotes superior scholarship.

In this spirit, Phi Kappa Phi solicits submissions of outstanding student papers written for any Boise State University course completed in the spring, summer or fall semester of 2004. Winners will be selected from each college on campus. A panel of faculty evaluators within each college will select the college-wide winner, who will be notified by the end of March and recognized during the Phi Kappa Phi initiation ceremony on Tuesday, April 19, 2005.

Deadline for submission is Monday, Jan. 31, 2005. Students may initiate the process, but a Faculty Nomination Form must accompany submitted papers. Detailed instructions and nomination forms are available at the Phi Kappa Phi Web site by clicking here.
