Five Boise State Professors Recognized For Teaching, Research, Service

Five Boise State University faculty members were honored with the first-ever College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs Awards at a Jan. 5 college meeting. The awards recognize full-time and part-time teachers in three areas: teaching, research and service.

Winners were:

Tenured Teaching Award: Mary Stohr, associate professor and chair, Department of Criminal Justice Administration.
Tenured Research Award: Eric Landrum, professor, Department of Psychology.
Tenured Service Award: Linda Anooshian, professor, Department of Psychology.
Tenure-track Teaching/Research/Service Award: Christopher Hill, assistant professor, Department of Anthropology.
Adjunct Award: William Overton, Department of Political Science.

The purpose of the Awards program is to honor faculty members in the College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs who are doing outstanding work. Winners, chosen by a committee, each received a $1,000 cash award and inclusion on the college “Wall of Fame.”
