TechHelp Luncheon Focuses On Company Valuation

TechHelp will host its first Treasure Valley Manufacturers Luncheon of the year Friday, Jan. 28, at Boise State University. Dennis Reinstein and Peter Butler of Hooper Cornell will discuss “Company Valuation” and how to use financial/business valuation theory to increase the value of a company. They will also discuss the three general approaches to business valuation, the "valuation drivers" for any company and market evidence of value. The luncheon is open to the public and will be of interest to business owners, senior management, family businesses, stockholders and anyone interested in company valuation methodology.

As Idaho’s Manufacturing Extension Center, TechHelp is a partnership of Idaho’s three state universities and provides technical and professional assistance to Idaho manufacturers and food processors to strengthen their global competitiveness through product and process improvements.

TechHelp’s Manufacturers Luncheons are intended to give Idaho manufacturers opportunities to meet and eat in friendly forums featuring timely topics presented by subject matter experts. A buffet lunch will be available at 11:30 a.m. followed by the main presentation from noon to 1 p.m. The presenters will be available for questions until 1:30 p.m. The luncheon costs $15 per person and will take place in the Hatch Ballroom "B" on the second floor of the Boise State University Student Union. Free parking is available just east of the Student Union.

He is licensed to practice in Idaho as a certified public accountant (CPA), and holds the following additional designations: Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in Business Valuation, Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA).

Butler is manager of Financial and Valuation Services at Hooper Cornell and has 10 years of financial, business valuation and venture capital investment management experience.
