Discounted season tickets for
the 2005 Boise State University Gene Harris Jazz Festival
are on sale now at all Select-a-Seat outlets. Tickets start
at $43 (a 40 percent savings over single-ticket prices) and
include admission to April 7 Club Night and evening concerts
April 8 and 9. Ticket prices increase on Feb. 1.
Student tickets for the 2005
festival are $12 and include admission to both Friday and
Saturday night concerts. A student Club Night ticket is $15.
Headline performers for this
year’s festival include jazz vocalist/saxophonist Curtis
Stigers and jazz singer Annie Sellick on Friday, April 8,
and legendary pianist Ramsey Lewis and his trio on Saturday,
April 9. Winning high school bands from each day’s festival
competitions will perform prior to the start of the evening
concerts, with the main acts taking the stage at 7 p.m. each
night.
Club Night performers include
Paul Tillotson, Lavay Smith, the Coltrane Project, Interplay
and Eleven Eyes, with additional performers still to be
announced.
