Boise State Alumni Center Hosts Casting Call for NBC's "The Apprentice" On Feb. 18

Casting directors of NBC’s hottest television reality show, “The Apprentice,” are conducting a casting call for Boise State University alumni and students only on Feb. 18 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Boise State Alumni Center, located at 1173 University Drive.

In particular, NBC is seeking Boise State MBA graduates or students nearing completion of their degree work this spring. Candidates can download their applications at www.NBC.com and bring them to the Alumni Center for interviews.

“The appearance of ‘The Apprentice’ on campus is certainly a tip of the hat to our academic reputation as the NBC casting directors have specifically asked to interview our MBA alumni and students while in Boise,” Denker said. “Boise State is the primary emphasis business school in Idaho and its program ranks among the top third in the nation.”

Boise State’s College of Business and Economics has the only program in the state with AACSB-international accreditation for undergraduate and graduate studies. The MBA program currently has about 150 students enrolled with new programs in accounting/finance, technology and high-tech marketing. An executive MBA program is being designed for 2006.

NBC casting directors are visiting 29 cities in 28 days across the United States until late February to find the next batch of candidates for the fourth season of “The Apprentice.” An open general public casting call will be held in Boise on Feb. 19 at Plaza 7, adjacent to NBC affiliate station KTVB at 5257 Fairview Avenue. Wristbands will be distributed from 9 a.m.-noon and interviews begin at 10 a.m.

“The Apprentice” premiered in January 2004 and immediately became a cultural phenomenon. Winners of the competition are granted a $250,000 job with The Trump Organization. Mark Burnett, Donald Trump and Jay Bienstock are the executive producers of the show.
