The Center
for Idaho History and Politics and the Boise City Office of
the Mayor present the third installment of the revived
Fettuccine Forum at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3, in the Rose
Room in the historic Union
Block, 718 W. Idaho Street. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the
40-minute presentation begins at 5:30 p.m. Admission is
free; food and drinks will be available for purchase.
As Boise
continues to grow, economic, cultural and environmental
concerns plague planning and expansion of the capitol city.
To better understand and discern responsible growth in
Boise, Nancy Napier,
professor of International Business and
executive director of the Global Business Consortium at
Boise State University, will lead a discussion titled
Creative Paths to Municipal Growth.
In addition to comments from
Napier, the presentation will include a panel of experts
including Elaine Clegg, Phil Kushlin and Elizabeth Cooper.
The forum is a lecture series on the future
and past of Boise and the Treasure Valley. The evening is
part of the citys First Thursday celebration.
Upcoming forum speakers include Rob Sterling,
corporate environment and safety manager for Micron
Technology Inc., March 3; Julie Numbers-Smith, Boise Arts
Commission, April 7; and Bob Sims, historian, May 5.
