The Collective of Black Artists (COBA) will present a concert featuring the music and dance of Africa and the Caribbean at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, in the Boise State University Special Events Center. The concert is part of the university’s Global Expressions Series featuring music, spoken word and dance from a variety of cultures. Tickets are $10 general and $5 for students, seniors, Boise State employees and alumni through Select-a-Seat.

COBA is a group of professional artists dedicated to the creation and production of dance and music preserving the cultural traditions of the African Diaspora. The group’s repertoire consists of traditional African dance, music and folklore; Caribbean indigenous folk dance, music and ritual; and modern and contemporary works. Called “a company that makes you sit up and take notice for all the right reasons” by Globe and Mail, COBA has performed throughout the United States and Canada.
