COBA Brings Dances of Africa, Caribbean To Boise State

click the images above  to see them full size         The Collective of Black Artists (COBA) will present a concert featuring the music and dance of Africa and the Caribbean at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, in the Boise State University Special Events Center. The concert is part of the university�s Global Expressions Series featuring music, spoken word and dance from a variety of cultures. Tickets are $10 general and $5 for students, seniors, Boise State employees and alumni through Select-a-Seat.   COBA is a group of professional artists dedicated to the creation and production of dance and music preserving the cultural traditions of the African Diaspora. The group�s repertoire consists of traditional African dance, music and folklore; Caribbean indigenous folk dance, music and ritual; and modern and contemporary works.
