Boise State Radiology Students Post 100 Percent Pass Rate

Students in the Boise State University Department of Radiologic Sciences achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the 2004 ARRT credentialing examination. Twenty-nine Boise State students took the exam, administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Nationally, close to 11,000 students took the ARRT examination and 89 percent passed. Boise State’s mean score of 90.9 placed it in the top 6 percent of radiography programs nationwide.

Darlene Travis, assistant professor of radiologic sciences, said that the ARRT is the only national credentialing agency for the diagnostic radiologic sciences community and is “an important outcome indicator of the quality of the program as well as the graduate.”
