Morrison Center Recital Hall. 7:30 p.m. BSU’s early
music ensemble joins with the eight-voice Minstrels of
Birnam Wood to perform medieval music. Selections
include parts of the Guillaume Dufay “Missa Caput,”
madrigals of Tudor England, and 14th Century

Boise Street, Kuna. 7:30 p.m. The Treasure Valley
Concert Band is joined by the Kuna High School band for
a “Red, White, Green and Blue” concert. The bands will
play songs from Italy, Mexico and the United States and
the evening will include a tuba solo by Boise State
music professor Michael Fischer and a piece titled “Los
Coyotes” by local composer Carol Matthews. Free. Call

“Terror from the Sea” tsunami lecture.
Location TBA. 7:30 p.m. Boise State seismologist Jim
Zollweg presents the first lecture in a series titled
“Terror from the Sea: Understanding the 2004 Indian Ocean
Tsunami,” about how earthquakes generate tsunamis, how they
cross oceans, how warning systems work and where a tsunami
