News Release
February 23,
2005 Boise State University is pleased to present the “University of Idaho: Department of Art, Architecture and Design Faculty Exhibition” through Friday, March 18, in Gallery II in the Hemingway Center northwest of the Student Union. Highlighting the diverse media used by contemporary artists, this exhibition features recent work by John Larkin, George Roberts, Sally Graves Machlis, Mark LaMoreaux, George Wray, Byron Clercx, Bill Bowler, David F. Giese, Delphine Keim-Campbell, Lynne Haagensen and Joe Zeller. In addition, “From the Collections Of… A Project by Matthew Brunicardi” will run through Saturday, March 19, in Gallery I in the Liberal Arts Building. Matthew Brunicardi is an MA visual arts student at Boise State. “From the Collections of… A Project by Matthew Brunicardi” is a dialogue about reappraising the relationship between the viewer and a collection of found and donated objects presented by the artist. The reappraisal of the objects is facilitated by their placement in the conceptual space of the gallery. In the gallery space these objects cease to be individual markers. Instead they become a universal marker of anyone’s lost past. An opening reception will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, for both exhibitions. Free parking is available in the Liberal Arts parking lot.
