Discounted season tickets for the 2005 Boise State University Gene Harris Jazz Festival are available through Monday, Feb. 28, at all Select-a-Seat outlets, by phone at 426-1494 or online at www.idahotickets.com.
Tickets start at $52 and include admission to all Club Night venues on Thursday, April 7, and evening concerts on Friday and Saturday, April 8 and 9. The discounted ticket price represents a 30 percent savings. After Monday, tickets will be sold at full price.
Student tickets for the 2005 festival are $12 for admission to both Friday and Saturday night concerts. A student Club Night ticket is $5; admission to Club Night venue The Big Easy is free. Student tickets are available at the Student Information Desk in the Student Union.
Headline performers for this year’s festival include jazz vocalist/saxophonist Curtis Stigers and jazz singer Annie Sellick on Friday, April 8, and legendary pianist Ramsey Lewis and his trio on Saturday, April 9. Winning high school bands from each day’s festival competitions will perform prior to the start of the evening concerts, with the main acts taking the stage at 7 p.m. each night.
Club Night performers include Paul Tillotson, Lavay Smith, the Coltrane Project, Interplay and Eleven Eyes. For more information, visit www.geneharris.org.
