The Department of Sociology at Boise State University presents a lecture by Yen Le Espiritu at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in Room 106 of the Liberal Arts Building, located west of the Student Union Building on University Drive. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Espiritu, a professor of ethnic studies at the University of California, San Diego, will speak on �War, Race and Asian Immigration.� Espiritu specializes in gender, migration, race, U.S. militarism, refugee studies and Asian American studies. She recently published �Home Bound: Filipino American Lives Across Cultures, Communities and Countries.�
