Yen Le Espiritu To Speak On War, Race and Immigration At Boise State March 31

The Department of Sociology at Boise State University presents a lecture by Yen Le Espiritu at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31, in Room 106 of the Liberal Arts Building, located west of the Student Union Building on University Drive. The lecture is free and open to the public.

 

Espiritu, a professor of ethnic studies at the University of California, San Diego, will speak on “War, Race and Asian Immigration.” Espiritu specializes in gender, migration, race, U.S. militarism, refugee studies and Asian American studies. She recently published “Home Bound: Filipino American Lives Across Cultures, Communities and Countries.”
