Presidential Team of Holladay and Ahmed Wins Boise State Student Government Election

Joe Holladay and Kamron Ahmed were elected 2005-06 president and vice president of the Associated Students of Boise State University (ASBSU) following two days of voting. Results of the student body election were announced at noon today in the Student Union.

Communication and Spanish major Holladay, from Nampa, and marketing major Ahmed, from Kent, Wash., collected 615 votes compared to 378 votes for opponents Taylor Newbold and Molly George, 305 votes for Trevor Klein and Amber Evans, and 234 votes for Tabielle Antchekov and Jefferson Day. A total of 1,579 students voted.

ASBSU Senate seats will be filled by Jared Dunn (Arimo), Selland College of Applied Technology; Katie Rupert (Kuna), College of Arts and Sciences; Sasa Zuko (Twin Falls), College of Business and Economics; Christian Busnardo (Nampa), College of Education; LaTisha Clark (Eagle), College of Engineering; Whatlyne Frederick (Boise), College of Health Sciences; Brandon Stoker (Boise), College of Social Sciences and Public Affairs; and Troy Brosten (Bigfork, Mont.), Graduate College.

New at-large senators are Mike Bobic (Normal, Ill.), Antonio Bommarito (b), Dang Du (Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam), Texie Evans (Boise), Russell O’Leary (Eagle), Phetsamay Joy Olson (Waianae, Hawaii), Wyatt S. Parke (Boise) and Steven Rossland (Helena, Mont.).
