San Jose State University professor Stan Welsh will lead a ceramics workshop from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. April 6-7 in Room 150 of Boise State University’s Liberal Arts Building.

Welsh, who teaches spatial arts and ceramics, will present his works and create new pieces during the two-day workshop. Welsh has held solo shows and participated in group shows around the world, including recent exhibits at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art in Santa Cruz, Calif.; the Daum Museum in Sedalia, Mo.; the Scripps 60th Ceramic Annual Invitational in Pomona, Calif.; and the Concorso Nationale della Ceramica d’Arte in Savona, Italy.

The workshop is made possible by the BSU Art Department’s bi-annual “Clay and Fire” sale. The fee is $25; the workshop is free for BSU students, faculty and staff. The Division of Extended Studies will offer one credit for an additional fee and assignments as directed by Jim Budde in the Art Department.
