Boise State Hosts Bi-National Water Symposium
Boise State University and the Canadian Consulate
General/Seattle present a regional bi-national water symposium April 6 as
part of Canada Week. The free event is from 8:30-11:30 a.m. in the Student
Union Lookout Room and the public is invited. Parking validation will be
provided for the visitor lot behind the Student Union.
Two panels will present the Canadian and American positions:
· The Canadian panel, at 9 a.m., consists of Brent Patterson, Alberta Ag,
food and rural development, irrigation branch; Greg Shyba, Alberta Ingenuity
Centre for Water Research, University of Calgary; and Kurt Klein, Water
Research Centre, University of Lethbridge.
· The American panel, at 10:15 a.m., consists of Karl Dreher, Idaho
Department of Water Resources; John Tracy, Idaho Water Research Institute,
University of Idaho; and Norm Semenko, Idaho representative to the Western
States Water Resources Board.
A questions and answer session will follow at 11:15 a.m.
