Boise State Theatre Majors Present Spring Showcase

Students in the Boise State University Theatre Majors Association will present two separate programs showcasing student-directed and original works over four nights. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. April 27-30 in Stage II of the Morrison Center. Tickets are $5 for students and $8 general at the door.

The program is as follows:

April 27 and 29:
“The Monster in the Bookstore,” written and directed by Heidi Kraay
“United We Stand,” written and directed by Adam Harrell
“Patrick’s Day,” written and directed by Erin Chancer

April 28 and 30:
“No Exit,” written by Jean-Paul Sartre, directed by Robert Shoquist
“Devour Your Ultimatum,” written by Heidi Kraay, directed by Erin Haight

Four of the plays were written by current BSU playwriting students and the fifth was written by well-know existentialist Jean-Paul Sartre.

Produced entirely by Theatre Department students, the Theatre Majors Association Showcase provides opportunities to highlight all theater disciplines including playwriting, lighting design, scenic design, costume design, stage management, technical skills, directing and acting. The show also serves as the main fundraiser for the organization, which assists students in attending workshops, conferences and regional performances.
