Academy of St. Giles, early music ensemble. Last Letter,” Diverse Perspectives Film Series. Cultural Center. 5:30 p.m. In 1941, a Russian Jewish doctor wrote a last letter to her son after her town was seized by the Germans. The letter’s detailed observations of daily life in the ghetto reveals the fear, courage, frailty, compassion and dignity of this woman as she reflects on her Jewish heritage, reviews her life, and faces her death.
