AUTHOR JOY WILLIAMS TO READ AT HEMINGWAY
CENTER Author Joy
Williams will read from her works at 7:30 p.m. April 22 at Boise State
University’s Hemingway Center. Her presentation is sponsored by the Boise
State creative writing program, and it is free and open to the public. Williams’ story The Girls was published in the 2004 edition of The Idaho Review and was recently selected by author Michael Chabon for inclusion in the 2005 edition of Best American Short Stories. Her book, Honored Guest: Stories, was published in the fall by Knopf.
Williams’ appearance concludes the MFA writing program’s spring lecture series. Other authors who appeared this spring included Tim Parrish, Thalia Field, Mei Mei Berssenbrugge, Peter Gizzi and Elizabeth Willis.
