Boise State literacy professor Stan Steiner, his wife, storyteller Joy Steiner, and illustrator Jocelyn Slack joined together to create P is for Potato, a new book for children.

P is for Potato is part of Sleeping Bear Press Discover America State by State series, which has one million copies in print across the United States. The books is written entirely about Idaho, and covers the state from Ketchum to Boise to Pocatello and beyond. Young readers get an introduction to famous Idahoans such as Philo T. Each subject in the book has two parts: a simple poem for younger readers, and a more in-depth explanation for older readers.
