• May 1 — Concerto Aria concert: 7:30 p.m. Morrison Center Main Stage. Six talented Department of Music students will perform solos with the University Symphony Orchestra. Samuel Hudson, violin; Jeremy Schrepple, piano; Elizabeth Kunz-Batey, soprano; Daniel Cross, trumpet; Rodney Zuroeveste, saxophone and Melody Garrett, flute, were chosen in a recent competition to perform with the symphony. $5 general, $3 seniors and free for students of all ages and Boise State faculty and staff.
• May 2 — Music Week concert: 7:30 p.m. Timberline High School, 701 E. Boise Ave. The Treasure Valley Concert Band will perform their concert, “From Opera to Hollywood.” Music will include selections from “Phantom of the Opera,” music from John Williams’ “Catch Me If You Can” and works from Australian composer David Stanhope.
• May 3 —Tuba and euphonium concert: 7:30 p.m. Morrison Center Recital Hall. Tuba and euphonium students will perform solos and in quartets. The repertoire includes works from the baroque period through the 20th century. $5 general, $3 seniors and free for students of all ages and Boise State faculty and staff.
• May 4 — BYU concert: 7:30 p.m. Morrison Center Recital Hall. The Brigham Young Faculty Trio is Monte Belknap, violin; Julie Reed, cello, and Jeffrey Shumway, piano. The BYU Faculy Trio has performed throughout the Northwest, but this will be the trio’s first appearance in Boise. $5 general, $3 seniors and free for students of all ages and Boise State faculty and staff.
• May 5 — Student composition recital. 7:30 p.m. Morrison Center Recital Hall. Free.
