Academic Classes Available At Boise State West
Campus; Admission Deadline July 13 Boise State University students who live in Canyon County now have a number of academic classes available to them closer to home.
The new academic building opened on the Boise State West campus in Nampa in June. Many of the same undergraduate classes available on the Boise campus will be offered there this fall. They include accounting, introduction to archaeology, biology, English composition, American literature, British literature, introduction to business, geography, German, Spanish, history, algebra, marketing, theater and more. There are also two master’s degree programs available at the West campus — reading and bilingual education/ESL.
The admission deadline for academic degree-seeking students is July 13. Students can apply and be admitted after the deadline as non-degree seeking students. However, these students can enroll for a maximum of seven credits and will not have financial aid available to them.
The West campus student services center is open from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays. To schedule a free session with an enrollment counselor or for more information on available classes, call the center directly at 562-3100.
The new 65,600-square-foot academic building is located on the 150-acre West campus north of the Idaho Center off Can-Ada Road. It is now home to academic programs in Canyon County formerly offered at the Canyon County Center on Nampa-Caldwell Boulevard. A number of technical programs and the One Front Door nursing program continue to be offered there.
