News Release July 6, 2005 Boise State Hosts "Thunder In Boise' Drum and Bugle Corps Competition Boise State University and the Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band will host “Thunder in Boise,” 7:30 p.m. July 12 at Bronco Stadium. “Thunder in Boise” brings together top drum and bugle corps from around the country, including the Phantom Regiment from Rockford, Ill., the Oregon Crusaders from Portland, Ore., the Seattle Cascades from Seattle, Wash., the Spokane Thunder from Spokane, Wash., and the Vanguard Cadets from Santa Clara, Calif. This Drum Corps International competition will include precision marching and colorful routines by the corps and drill teams. Erin Loeppke of Meridian, who was the drum major for the Keith Stein Blue Thunder Marching Band for 2003-2004, will be marching as the drum major for the Seattle Cascades. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the gate; children younger than 5 are admitted free. Thunder Marching Band is Boise State University’s marching band. Founded in
1987, it plays at Boise State University football, basketball and volleyball
