Boise State Offers Workshop On Eating Disorders The Boise State University Division of Extended Studies will present a four-day workshop titled “Eating Disorders – Illness or Epidemic?” on July 25-28.
The workshop is designed to provide students, professionals and caring community members with accurate definitions, symptoms, behavioral characteristics, methods of treatment, coping skills, solutions and available community resources in the treatment of eating disorders.
Boise State adjunct professor Millie Smith will lead the workshop. She is a licensed professional counselor who has been practicing in the Boise community since 1981. In addition to her private practice, Smith conducts training seminars for the community in the areas of obsessive/compulsive disorders, attention deficit/hyperactive disorders, depression and women’s issues.
The workshop will be held from 8-11:40 a.m. Monday through Thursday. Students may register for one undergraduate or graduate credit on BroncoWeb at http://broncoweb.boisestate.edu.
