News Release August 22, 2005 Ward Hooper Exhibit To Open At Boise State Student Union Boise artist Ward P. Hooper will display his work in the Boise State Student Union Gallery from Aug. 24-Sept. 28. An opening reception will be held from 5:30-7 p.m. Aug. 26 at the gallery. Hooper, a Boise State alumnus, depicts familiar locations in a way that seems to crystallize “the age of innocence.” His powerful designs are suspended in time, expertly illustrating a romance for the past. Hooper uses contemporary art techniques to produce these colorful and detailed iconographic scenes of yesterday. Hooper’s works appear on Boise bus stops, and several of his pieces are part of the city’s permanent art collection. The Student Union Gallery, which is located on the building’s second floor, is open from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. daily. Admission is free.
