CWST is designed to test the cadets swimming abilities. It consists of several stations, including a 25-meter swim, 12-meter swim with weapon, blind equipment jump, equipment release, and BDU flotation methods.

The ROTC program at Boise State was established in 1977 as a voluntary program. Its objective is to provide university students who have the ability and desire with an opportunity to become commissioned officers in the Army.
