Boise State Class Offers Free Customized Employee Handbooks For Boise Companies

Boise State University students in the human resource management class taught by professor Gundars Kaupins are seeking Treasure Valley companies who are interested in having them prepare employee handbooks. The service is free and entails new handbooks or revisions of existing handbooks.

The employee handbooks cover topics such as the company’s mission, selection, discipline, work rules, compensation, benefits, health, safety, security, training and performance appraisal. Each handbook is customized to fit the company’s needs.

The handbooks require two visits by a company representative to Kaupins’ class at Boise State. All handbooks will be completed by mid-December.

Kaupins’ human resource classes have completed more than 260 employee handbooks throughout the Treasure Valley over the last 18 years. There are about 15 company openings this semester.

For more information, call Kaupins at 426-4014 or e-mail him at gkaupins@boisestate.edu.
