Poet Kathleen Fraser To Give Reading At Boise State University Poet Kathleen Fraser will give a reading at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 23 in the Student Union Bishop Barnwell Room at Boise State University. The event is part of Boise State’s MFA annual reading series. It’s free and open to the public. Fraser is the author of 16 books. Her latest include hi dde violeth i dde violet (Nomados Press), Discrete Categories Forced into Coupling (Apogee Press), and a book of essays, Translating the Unspeakable: Poetry and the Innovative Necessity (Alabama Press). Fraser has received many awards for her work, including a Guggenheim fellowship in poetry, the National Endowment for the Arts poetry fellowship, and the National Endowment for the Arts Young Writers Award. Early in her career, she won the Frank O’Hara Poetry Prize. From 1983 to 1991, she was the publisher and editor of the acclaimed journal HOW(ever), which explored poetry by women.
