News Release September 22, 2005 Boise State Women's Center Extends Deadline for 'Women Making History' Nominations The Boise State Women�s Center is seeking nominations and writers for its 2005 Idaho Women Making History publication. The deadline for nominations has been extended to 5 p.m. Sept. 30. Idaho Women Making History is a newspaper publication that was created in 2001 to recognize women who are making a difference in Idaho. Ordinary women throughout the community are nominated for doing extraordinary things. In partnership with The Idaho Statesman, the stories of the recipients from the past two years have appeared in a special supplement that has been inserted into the paper in March as part of the Women�s History Month Celebration. During the past four years, more than 150 women have been honored. The categories for nomination are: Boise State University faculty/staff members (10 needed); local community members (10 needed); and students (five needed). Writers also are needed to produce the publication. Boise State students who are accepted to write for the publication can earn internship credit for their involvement. To make a nomination or apply to write, visit http://womenscenter.boisestate.edu and click on �Awards.� You may also pick up a nomination form at the Women�s Center office, located on the corner of Lincoln and University.
