Boise Art Museum, Boise State Partner To Grant Free Admission To Students

Boise State University and the Boise Art Museum (BAM) are partnering to give free admission to students who are currently enrolled at the university. The student admission charge at the museum usually is $3; under this agreement, Boise State students will have free access to all of the museum�s collections and exhibits.

The agreement furthers Boise State�s goal of becoming a metropolitan research university of distinction by providing quality cultural opportunities to students.

�Boise State University is very pleased to support this pilot program�with BAM,� said Mark Wheeler, interim vice president for student affairs. �The partnership reinforces Boise State�s desire to engage students in the community beyond our campus boundaries. It is a�unique opportunity to provide enhanced educational and cultural opportunities for Boise State students.�

The free admission price is effective immediately. Current exhibitions include �Contemporary Northwest Art,� �Recent Acquisitions: The Blur Purlieu Portfolio,� �Sweepings,� and �Katy Stone: Fall.� Boise State is sponsoring a free lecture by Stone at 6 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Idaho Historical Museum, 610 N. Julia Davis Park Dr.
