Civil Engineering Prof Presents Lecture On Ethics and The Engineering Curriculum Tuesday At Boise State

“Forming Moral Consensus: Ethics and the Engineering Curriculum” is the topic of a lecture Tuesday at Boise State University, presented as part of the College of Engineering’s seminar series.

David Haws, a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, will present the lecture at 12:40 p.m. in Room 106 of the Micron Engineering Center. The public is invited.

Haws will discuss the importance for students to understand the standard formulations of philosophy through the ages, to study the history of moral dilemmas and resolutions that mark the careers of prominent engineers, and to develop their moral consensus along with their expanding technical expertise.
