This morning, President Bush announced the
nomination of Ben Bernanke to replace Alan Greenspan as chair of the
Federal Reserve when Greenspan’s term expires in January.
For your coverage of this important breaking story, we invite you to
contact Chris Loucks, a professor of economics in the College of Business
and Economics at Boise State.
Loucks teaches money and banking courses at Boise State that include a
detailed study of the Federal Reserve. Loucks can offer expert commentary
on why a change in helm at the Federal Reserve is so important, the
significance of Bush’s choice of nominee, and what transition issues might
be encountered in the months ahead.
