Free Boise State Lecture
to Address Bird Flu, West Nile
Uwe Reischl, director of the Center for
Health Policy at Boise State University will deliver a free lecture on �The
Fundamentals of Avian Flu and West Nile Virus Infections� from 3:30-4:30
p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the Student Union Hatch B Ballroom at Boise State.
The public is invited to attend; seating is limited, so participants should
arrive early.
Reischl is a professor of health sciences and a public health physician with
a focus on occupational health. He has 23 years of university research,
teaching and administration experience. He received his undergraduate and
graduate training at the University of California, Berkeley, where he
obtained a Ph.D. in environmental health sciences; he received his medical
training at the University of Ulm in Germany.
Reischl has contributed to the assessment of global health conditions and
has been involved in the evaluation of health care systems internationally.
He also served as a science adviser to the Global Advisory Committee on
Health Research of the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.
