Elektric Havoc to Present
Rock Concert at Boise State
Elektric Havoc, a product of a class in the Boise State Music Department,
will give a concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Morrison Center Stage II.
Admission is $5 general, $3 seniors and free to students of all ages and
Boise State faculty and staff.
Elektric Havoc is an ensemble of students from the “Rock Music: Its
Performance and History” class. The class’ project this year was progressive
rock, and they have planned a program with music from a wide variety of
acts. The concert will feature music by classic bands such as Yes, Rush,
King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Moody Blues, Left Banke, Renaissance, Kansas,
Alice Cooper, and early Genesis.
When the class isn’t rocking out, it concentrates on the history and theory
of rock music from its primitive beginnings in the 19th century to the
present, paying particular attention to music from 1950-1970.
