Student recitals: All of the following performances are held in the
Morrison Center Recital Hall and are free.
Dec. 3 Shanna
Fehrs senior violin recital. 4 p.m. Featuring the music of Ravel, Biber and
Bartok.
Dec. 5 Student
composition class recital. 7:30 p.m.
Dec. 1 Student Chamber Music Ensemble: Morrison Center Recital
Hall. 4 p.m. $5 general, $3 seniors, free to students of all ages and Boise
State faculty and staff.
Dec. 2 Percussion Ensemble: Morrison Center Room B125. 7:30 p.m.
$5 general, $3 seniors, free to students of all ages and Boise State faculty
and staff.
Dec. 3 TubaChristmas: The Grove, 3:30 p.m.; Capitol Rotunda, 4:30
p.m. Tuba, euphonium and baritone players from Boise State, local schools
and the community will play holiday favorites during the 14th annual
TubaChristmas, a holiday tradition in Boise. Free.
Dec. 4 Holiday Family Concert: Morrison Center Main Hall. 7:30
p.m. The Holiday Family Concert, an annual tradition at Boise State, will
feature performances by the Boise State Flute Choir, the Tuba-Euphonium
Ensemble, University Choirs, the Faculty Brass Ensemble and the University
Symphony Orchestra. $6 general, $4 seniors and $1 students through
Select-a-Seat.
Dec. 6 Holiday Choral Concert: Cathedral of the Rockies, corner
of 11th and Hays, Boise. 7:30 p.m. Ring in the holiday season with the Boise
State choral department, including Bachs Magnificat, modern arrangements of
traditional carols, and the fifth annual Meistersingers silent auction
containing loads of products and services donated by Boise businesses. $5
general, $3 seniors and free to students of all ages and Boise State faculty
and staff.
Dec. 8 All-Campus Concert Band: Student Union Special Events
Center. 7:30 p.m. The All-Campus Concert Band will perform fiddle music from
the American past, including marches by Sousa and Grainger and selections
from the award-winning musical Chicago. $5 general, $3 seniors, free to
students of all ages and Boise State faculty and staff.
Dec. 12 Elektric Havoc Concert: Morrison Center Stage II. 7:30
p.m. Elektric Havoc, a project of the rock music class in the Boise State
Music Department, invites you to a progressive rock concert featuring the
music of Yes, Rush, King Crimson, Gentle Giant, Moody Blues, Left Banke,
Renaissance, Kansas, Alice Cooper and early Genesis.
