BSU Students Host Holiday
Party for Refugees
Group Seeks Donations of Gifts, Hygiene Products
The Organization of Student Social Workers at Boise State University is
seeking donations to help with a gala holiday celebration for refugee
families in the Treasure Valley. Members of OSSW have spent the semester
raising funds in support of the Agency for New Americans� holiday party. The
party is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at All Saints Episcopal
Church.
The event will be a festive evening of song, dance, food, and children�s
arts and craft. More than 70 refugee families will receive gifts, with Toys
for Tots supplying children�s presents. OSSW is seeking donations of gifts
for teens and adults, as well as hygiene items such as toothbrushes,
toothpaste, shampoo, soap and individually wrapped toilet paper.
