Boise State Offers
Music/Art Study Tour to Paris
Boise State University music professor
Del Parkinson will lead an educational music and art study tour of Paris,
France, May 21-28, 2006. Parkinson has led more than a dozen previous study
tours to New York City and London. The trip is organized through Boise
State�s Division of Extended Studies.
While in the �City of Lights,� participants will attend world-class
performances of opera, ballet and symphonic music productions, enriched by
informal discussions tailored to accommodate all levels of interest. Tour
members will also have the opportunity to visit several cultural sites,
including the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triomphe, Invalides,
Montmartre, the Left Bank, the fashionable Champs-Elys�es, Versailles Palace
and Monet�s inspirational Giverny. Participants may also view art at the
Louvre, the Cluny, the Rodin and the D�Orsay.
Cost is $2,900, which includes round-trip airfare from Boise, six nights of
hotel accommodations and continental breakfast, selected meals, tickets to
concert, opera and ballet performances, Paris museum and metro passes,
excursions to Versailles and Giverny, and credit or noncredit fees.
